MOVIE MAKERS:
A Filmmaking Workshop for Kids

Presented by the Alabama Filmmakers Co-op (a.k.a. The Film Co-op)

Four consecutive Saturdays: July 9, 16, 23, 30 (10 am - 4pm)
Ages 11-15 (class size limited to 15 students)
Deadline to sign up is June 17!!

This workshop gives kids basic instruction in directing, acting, producing, script supervision, and a variety of other filmmaking activities while they create a short film (approximately 15 minutes in length).

Workshop instructors, Don Tingle and Anna Sue Courtney, encourage participants to have fun while learning this art form. Team projects and assignment rotation ensure each child has hands-on filmmaking experience in a creative and nurturing environment.

WORKSHOP CONTENT
Day 1: Learn basic lighting and filming techniques. Cast actors for the film. Story board the film and refine dialogue.
Day 2 & 3: Rehearse and film the scenes in teams.
Day 4: Create titles/credits and select the music. Watch the final film and enjoy a cast party.

COST: The $100 workshop fee includes materials, lunches, snacks and a copy of the completed film on DVD or VHS.
